Surveying

The basic purpose of a land survey is to accurately establish, or in some cases, reestablish, corners, lines, boundaries, and/or monuments of real property.  Once these geometric points of angle, elevation, length, area and volume are established, our experienced team members are then ready to write the legal descriptions and begin the mapping process and construction layout for your project.  Speece Lewis Engineers recognizes the importance of accuracy to avoid legal issues at any point down the road.

The profession of surveying continues to evolve with technological advancement.  With the advent of GPS, robotics, LIDAR and drones, surveying has come a long way in a brief time.  Long gone are the days of transits and chains.  However, even with these advances, a basic understanding of accurate fundamental surveying practices is more vital than ever.

Speece Lewis Engineers recognizes the necessity of keeping up with the latest surveying advances while always ensuring that we provide accurate information necessary for a successful project. Our surveyors have a wide breadth of experience in topographic, hydraulic and construction surveys. They perform hundreds of surveys each year for local public agencies and private contractors.
